Surveying and Geoinformatics
The field of work of Surveying and Geoinformatics is the earth's surface with its natural and artificial features. This opens up a wide range of professions: From regulating and reorganising the ownership of land, staking out routes for road, bridge and tunnel construction and satellite-based measurement methods (e. g. GPS), to the provision and management of geographic data used in everyday and specialist applications. In the degree programme, all methods to cover the versatile professional activity are taught. This includes in particular: Tachymetry, levelling, satellite surveying, laser scanning, remote sensing, land management, geographic information systems, CAD and visualisation techniques. In technically very well-equipped laboratories, the methods can not only be taught theoretically, but also practically applied in exercises and practical courses.
