Hans-Wilhelm Renkhoff Foundation

Founded in 1995 by founder of WAREMA Hans-Wilhelm Renkhoff, the foundation named after him, is among the most important supporters of THWS.

The foundation supports research and teaching, awards scholarships on a regular basis and honours students of technology and economics for excellent study performance.

Practice-oriented research, development and higher education are the main focus. For a few years, however, also projects of youth and old people's welfare, equality and national and vocational education are being funded.

The foundation provides funding for scientific events, teaching and research assignments, and honours six outstanding theses per year.

In addition, the foundation finances the "Deutschlandstipendium", a national scholarship programme initiated by the Federal Government.

The research focuses supported by the foundation have changed over the years. At the moment, the topics of digitisation and sustainability are in the focus.
