A Day Full of AI: The Second AI Camp at CAIRO
Last week, CAIRO proudly hosted the second AI Camp, and what a day it was! With an impressive turnout of participants from academia and industry, ranging from AI enthusiasts, developers, start-ups, creatives to students, the event proved to be a hub of innovation, collaboration, and inspiration.
What Makes AI Camp Special?
AI Camp isn’t a typical event. There are no keynotes, purchased presentations, or predetermined programmes. Instead, it follows the Barcamp format, where the participants themselves decide the agenda. This unique approach fosters interaction and ensures dynamic, engaging sessions on a wide variety of AI topics.
The Highlights
- Engaging sessions and thought-provoking discussions shaped by the attendees.
- Participants traveled from near and far — some even came from 200 km away — to be part of the event.
- Lively networking opportunities, connecting AI enthusiasts across industry and academia.
A huge thanks goes to Würzburg Web Week, Ute Mündlein, and Franziska Raupach, whose excellent organization ensured the day ran smoothly. Their efforts helped create an event full of energy, ideas, and meaningful connections.
Based on the positive feedback from the participants, we’re hopeful for a third AI Camp in 2025 — stay tuned!
