You invent – We protect

The interaction with the region and businesses is a central matter for THWS. This is essentially expressed through an active transfer of technology and the support of staff in the registration and exploitation of inventions, as well as through help for founding their own businesses, especially in the field of technologies.

In the context of society's and the economy's increased interest in modern production and communication technology, computer programs, trademarks and design, THWS would like to ensure effective protection, efficient use and proper handling of its intellectual property. An active approach to intellectual property and knowledge transfer is an indicator for the scientific reputation of a higher education institution and promotes the networking with the industry and other fields of research.
