Mechatronics/Mechatronik

Practice-oriented teaching enables students to independently apply scientific knowledge and methods. Due to the range and diversity of occupation of mechatronics engineers, which makes a comprehensive fundamental training necessary, the programme also wants to teach expertise, methodological and social competences, so that graduates will be able to familiarise themselves quickly with one of the many areas of application Elective modules offer the possibility to choose courses according to one's own preferences and professional expectations without limiting the possible future field of activity. Relevant subjects enable students to recognise the effects of technology on the environment and to act responsibly. Among other things, personal development and problem-solving skills, combined with the acquisition of social, cultural and foreign-language skills, are developed through intensive project work. The study programme also serves as preparation for taking on management tasks. The study programme represents the basis for an application-oriented, scientific further qualification in a master's programme.

TWIN Programme

At THWS, the Mechatronics degree programmes (German or English) form a TWIN Programme. Those programmes allow you to study both languages, German and English. Visit the overview page of THWS degree programmes to gain further information on TWIN programmes.
