The Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt maintains cooperations at both its locations, Würzburg and Schweinfurt, for holiday care for the children of employees.

Babysitting platform by FamilieWue³

FamilyWUE³, a collaboration of the three Würzburg universities, offers a babysitting platform for all university members.

This service aims to provide supplementary childcare for one-time or recurring events. It is available to both students and staff with children. The babysitting exchange can assist, for example, during appointments, lectures, exams, or unforeseen events.

For student parents, the platform provides valuable support to help them complete their studies successfully and in a timely manner. University employees can use this service to more easily overcome childcare shortages. Additionally, visiting scientists are given the opportunity to flexibly organize their children's care during conferences or congresses.

"Bring your child"-day at THWS

On the Day of Prayer and Repentance Bavarian schools are closed. Thus, many parents need to arrange for alternative child care. THWS rids its employees of this problem by offering a “bring-your-child”-day for children from 1st grade.

At the locations in Würzburg and Schweinfurt, a diverse programme is offered to children from 8:00 to 16:00. The children are not only cared for well but they also get the chance to get to know their parents’ place of work.

Facilities for breastfeeding and nappy changing
